Teachers learn rhythmic exercise technique to help students

Teachers, occupational therapists and some parents from an Arizona school district recently participated in a training exercise in which they learned "Balance/Auditory/Vision/eXercises," described as "a series of rhythmic exercises designed to assist students with learning disabilities, behavior and attention-deficit disorders." The Bal-A-Vis-X techniques, which include rubber balls, bean bags and balance boards, can help students improve their reading, concentration and self-esteem, according educators who lead the training.
