Why are SMBs afraid of radical innovation?

Research shows that only 17% of small and medium-sized businesses prioritize the kind of blue-sky thinking that leads to new products and services, writes Eva Diedrichs. The rest are happy to focus on incremental innovations and improvements to existing products and processes. This suggests that many small-business leaders don't have the ambition and risk tolerance needed for radical innovation, Diedrichs argues.
