FTC updates COPPA guidelines

The Federal Trade Commission has released new guidelines for developers on obtaining parental consent for child-targeted applications, with additions such as the option to request credit card numbers as proof of adult consent. The FTC also made it clear that the developers, not the app-store providers, are ultimately responsible for following the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act rules.
