Oreos recalled twice last week

Kraft Food's Nabisco division recalled Oreo branded cookies twice last week. The first was due to Chips Ahoy cookies accidentally being packaged into Oreo Thin Crisp boxes and a second, larger recall of 838,000 boxes of the Oreo Sandwich Cookies was issued because some fillings might contain peanut cream not indicated on the label. A company statement said concern for persons with peanut allergies was the cause for the national recall on the $1-billion brand, the nation's top-selling cookie for nearly 100 years.
