Pharmacies gravitate toward electronic kiosks

Pharmacies, including Longs Drug Stores and Safeway, plan to introduce electronic dispensing machines that will give customers access to prescription refills without making them wait in line at the pharmacy counter. Opponents of the machines say the technology is unsafe and contend more pharmacists are needed.
