Dow Jones clears way for News Corp acquisition

The Bancroft family, which controls Dow Jones, now will have the final say on News Corp's $5 billion offer to buy the company, after Dow Jones' board Tuesday night approved the basic terms of the deal. The family, which is said to be split over whether to sell the company to Rupert Murdoch's News Corp, reportedly is slated to start reviewing the deal on Monday, and could take up to a week to decide.
