Moody's loses after taking tough CMBS stance

Moody's Investors Service said it was not hired for 75% of the commercial mortgage-backed securities ratings assignments after taking a tough stance on lax lending standards in the sector. Moody's said April 10 that it was raising subordination levels of commercial mortgage-backed securities to stem the potential for widespread defaults.
