Minnesota YMCA creates swimming lessons for children with autism

Children with autism are gaining strength in an environment many find soothing as part of new YMCA swimming lesson program designed especially for them. "I can see an improvement in him in just the first few weeks," said Jennifer Clausen, whose son Wyatt was referred to the classes by his special-education teacher. "I know he does seem to thrive in water and his body seems to be able to move in ways that it won't allow him on land."
