Research: More sleep linked to higher stroke risk in older women

Postmenopausal women who get nine or more hours of sleep a night may have a 60% to 70% higher risk of stroke than women who get about seven hours of sleep every night. Researchers are unsure whether the findings also apply to younger women and men.
