Walmex is expected to post solid quarterly sales, profit growth

Wal-Mart de Mexico is expected to report $345 million in second-quarter profit, bolstered by a consumer recovery in Mexico and the acquisition of outlets in Central America. "With 50% of its sales mix in Mexico geared towards durable goods, we believe Walmex is well positioned to take advantage of the anticipated acceleration in the recovery of the Mexican consumer," Banco Santander said in a recent report.
