Why educators must support young students' interest in math, science

Many students are already discouraged about math and science by the time they are 8 years old, according to award-winning teacher Zak Champagne. In this blog post, he advocates changing how those subjects are taught by elementary educators. More engaging and hands-on lessons are needed to maximize young students' early natural interest in math and science, he writes.
