380-ton concrete bridge span lifted into place in Va. for Dulles rail

Crews lifted into place the final 380-ton span consisting of 12 custom-cast concrete segments that will complete the aerial structure part of the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project that will eventually link Washington, D.C., to Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia. The aerial structure, more than three miles long, used more than 2,700 reinforced, precast concrete segments weighing between 25 tons and 40 tons.
