An updated position paper from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics says that healthful eating habits and a physically active lifestyle are associated with a reduced risk of chronic conditions. Registered dietitians and dietetic technicians, registered, are essential team members in providing nutrition-based preventive services in community and clinical settings, according to the paper, published in the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
