BTS season means different things for different retailers

Some U.S. retailers face more pressure than others heading into the back-to-school season, the year's second-busiest shopping season. For merchants in the midst of a turnaround including J.C. Penney, Kohl's, Aéropostale and Abercrombie & Fitch, the season could be more of a proving ground, while others including Macy's, Nordstrom, Belk and The Children's Place will start the season from a stronger position.
