Japanese regulator OKs Given Imaging's PillCam Colon

Japan's Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency has cleared Given Imaging to market its PillCam Colon system in that country. The device is used to detect colonic disease in cases where colonoscopies aren't feasible, such as when patients are unable or reluctant to undergo the procedure.
