Keystone XL won't worsen impact of climate change, TransCanada says

TransCanada's Keystone XL pipeline won't worsen the effects of climate change, the company said in a letter to the State Department. The project would emit up to 7.7 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions, but this figure represents at the most only 0.1% of the 2011 greenhouse-gas inventory in the U.S., TransCanada said.
