Mich. county rejects wind farm developer switching from surety to LOC

A request by Exelon Corp. to replace a $1 million performance bond and corporate guarantee with a letter of credit from an A-rated bank for its Huron County, Mich., wind farm has been rejected by the county's Board of Commissioners. One commissioner stated he preferred the county require a bond, because the bond includes a third party’s evaluation of the developer’s financial documentation.
