Ore. wind industry reels from the effect of delayed PTC extension

While the industry has stabilized in the state, no new wind projects are likely to get off the ground in Oregon this year because of the delay in extending the wind-energy Production Tax Credit, executives said. The extension of the PTC "didn't really have much of an impact" on new construction because the rules weren't finalized until the spring, said Art Sasse, Iberdrola Renewables' director of communications.
