Providers tighten belts, consider hospital partnerships under ACA

A survey by Provista revealed 70% of health care providers were trimming their budgets in preparation for full implementation of the Affordable Care Act, while nearly the same number expressed confidence in adjusting to the new industry environment. The survey involved 359 ambulatory surgery centers, physician practices, oncology centers and home health agencies. Almost a quarter of respondents said they could form a joint venture with hospitals to share with costs.
