Not every asset a business possesses can be classified as working capital, Jeff Haden writes. To count as working capital, an asset must be liquid, something that can used to keep the business going. "[T]he cool sculpture in your lobby is an asset but it's not working capital since you can't pay your lease with it," he writes.
