Kroger plans large-format stores in Ohio

The Kroger Co. plans to build up to 10 new Marketplace stores in and around Ohio, where it currently has three stores in the works. The larger-format stores, which sell general merchandise in addition to groceries, will compete with Wal-Mart Stores, which plans to add 20 Supercenters to the Cincinnati area within the next few years.
