Minnesota bridge plans move ahead as development soars

A $600-million-dollar bridge crossing between Carver and Scott counties in Minnesota isn't part of the state DOT's 20-year construction plan, but that hasn't stopped the department from spending millions on finding a route for the bridge. The department says it is moving ahead with planning for the project due to fast residential and commercial growth in the two counties on the south side of the Twin Cities.
