Road to Grand Canyon Skywalk to be paved under tribal settlement

The Hualapai tribe has reached a deal with a private landowner in which the landowner will pave the 14-mile dirt road leading to the tribe-owned horseshoe-shaped Grand Canyon Skywalk that extends over the canyon. The landowner, Nigel Turner, had blocked construction of the road, but the tribe paid him $750,000 to settle a lawsuit and clear the way to pave the road.
