New laws in Midwest to increase demand for slot machines

Governors in two Midwestern states have signed off on slot machine gambling, which should translate to demand for 40,000 to 75,000 additional slot machines. Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland approved video lottery terminals at state racetracks, and Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn approved video poker and video blackjack machines for bars and taverns.
