CMS proposes to cut payments to home health providers

The CMS on Friday issued proposed regulations in which home health providers will see a $900 million reduction in Medicare payments next year as part of the implementation of the health reform law. Also, hospices serving seniors will receive a 2.6% increase in payments and nursing homes will get a 1.4% increase.
