The ongoing uncertainty over climate legislation is causing environmental groups to bolster their efforts on pushing for a renewable-energy standard to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions, according to this article. In a letter sent Wednesday to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., a coalition of green groups called for a renewable-energy mandate for 25% of U.S. electricity to be generated from renewables by 2025.
