Quake detectors are installed in North Dakota for national project

About 30 earthquake-detecting instruments have been installed in North Dakota during the past two years, as part of a project that aims to monitor seismic activity across the country. The project -- dubbed EarthScope -- is being implemented by the National Science Foundation and is scheduled to be finished by 2013.
