Experts weigh in on potential of technology in the classroom

Allowing students to be active participants in technology-enhanced lessons that are relevant to their lives was among the suggestions of a panel of experts at a recent education conference. The panel shared ideas and best practices -- such as using physical movement to increase engagement in technology-based lessons, and creating authentic learning environments for students -- while also addressing the challenges to educators, who may be overwhelmed by the potential uses of technology in the classroom.
