Boxer seeks to overhaul Lautenberg-Vitter TSCA reform bill

Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., is seeking major changes to the bipartisan Lautenberg-Vitter bill, intended to reform the Toxic Substances Control Act. According to an anonymous aide, Boxer has set a July 31 hearing to look at the bill, along with several of her own. The aide indicated Boxer may essentially start from scratch on a chemical regulatory reform bill, this article says.
