Antibacterial products raise concern of germ resistance

Antibacterial soaps, tissues, sponges and other products abound on the marketplace, but there is scant science behind the true benefits of antibacterial or antiviral products. Experts worry that widespread use of these products will cause some strains of bacteria to develop resistances, and the Alliance for the Prudent Use of Antibiotics is reaching beyond antibiotics to try to contain antibacterial usage.
