Massachusetts public construction reforms signed into law

Massachusetts Lt. Gov. Kerry Healey on Monday signed into law a package of reforms that are expected to save the state as much as 10% on building costs. The new law will make Massachusetts the 46th state to use a design-build system and requires the appointment of a professional project manager for projects worth more than $1.5 million.
