Nashville schools director wants contract, test scores linked

Metropolitan Nashville (Tenn.) schools director Pedro Garcia has told the school board he does not want his contract extended beyond 2007 unless test scores rise. Garcia said he is simply looking to fulfill the promise he made when he was hired and added that he is not looking for a way out of the job.
