DOD investigates Boeing lobbyist in ethics violations

The Pentagon is investigating whether a former director of the Air National Guard who accepted a job as a Boeing lobbyist violated ethics rules. Retired Maj. Gen. Paul Weaver took the Boeing post three months after he left the military. He was hired to lobby for a $23 billion contract to lease refueling tankers to the military. The contract was later canceled when ethics violations by a former Air Force acquisitions official were revealed.
