Study: Vouchers in Australia not worth the benefits

A school voucher program in Australia would give parents more choice over schools, but it also would widen social inequities and could lower student achievement, reports a study of overseas voucher systems by the think tank Australia Institute. The Australian Education Minister yesterday announced she will commission a study of a possible voucher program for students with disabilities.
