Lake Earl offers hiking, kayaking, bird watching

Located on California's northernmost coast, Lake Earl is a recreationist's paradise with towering redwoods, miles of open beaches and streams teeming with salmon. Additionally, the area is one of the most important areas on the West Coast for seabirds as visitors can expect to see herons, egrets, western grebes and even a bald eagle.
