Purdue Pharma executives face OxyContin sentencing

A U.S. court is set to decide today on sentences for three executives of Purdue Pharma convicted of false claims for its OxyContin painkiller. A former president and medical director and the firm's counsel pleaded guilty to misbranding charges involving claims the drug posed a lower risk of abuse and addiction than Percocet, Vicodin and similar painkillers.
