AT&T-backed TerreStar makes first call from satellite

TerreStar Networks reported Monday that it had successfully completed a call from the satellite it launched July 1 to back a network aimed at filling in gaps in 3G coverage using handsets that receive satellite and cellular signals. AT&T Mobility will resell the service, limiting sales originally to government agencies.
