Cuts to services affect people with special needs and their families

As the budget for the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services is cut, services for developmentally disabled adults are disappearing. At the soon-to-close Westwood Respite Center, adults with disabilities are losing a source of activities, and their families are losing a needed break from caregiving.
