Glass will let Miami tower survive high winds, developer says

A new Miami skyscraper is designed to withstand severe hurricane winds. The building's facade is made of "large missile" impact glass. Developer Alan Ojeda said the damage caused by Hurricane Wilma four years ago inspired him to build a tower that could survive severe winds. Marketing information released by his company states that the tower can withstand winds of 327 miles per hour.
