NBCU's cable unit reports 3% revenue gain

The cable TV unit of NBC Universal -- which includes networks such as USA, Bravo and MSNBC -- was one of the few bright spots in an otherwise bleak second quarter for the diversified media company. The unit reported that revenue rose 3%, to $1.2 billion, and operating profit was up to $595 million, a 7% year-over-year increase.
