Oakland considers two development proposals for former army base

The City of Oakland is considering two development options for a portion of the former Oakland Army Base. The first option would build an industrial complex to package, warehouse and distribute cargo for the nearby Port of Oakland. The second option would develop retail, office and hotel space on the 135 acres owned by the city.
