Recession brings patient safety into cost spotlight

Health care providers at the 2009 Patient Safety Congress said there is more pressure now to frame patient safety from a business perspective due to the cutbacks many hospitals and clinics are experiencing on account of the recession. Experts say if patient safety programs are done right, they can be smart economic moves for health care facilities.
