Seasonal flu vaccine for 2009-10 receives FDA approval

The FDA cleared the next seasonal flu vaccine, which contains three strains that are likely to be circulating during the upcoming season. Although the vaccine does not protect against the H1N1 swine flu virus, "it is still important for those Americans for whom it is recommended," the agency said.
