Commentary: Pros and cons to Warren leading consumer agency

Washington Post columnists Neil Irwin and Ezra Klein discuss the idea of Harvard professor Elizabeth Warren leading the new Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Warren has been a leading advocate of consumer protections and is on the short-list to direct the new agency, but she's also a highly controversial candidate. "So in the end analysis, the question is whether you think Warren's unique prominence and pedigree as the person who created the idea for this agency and put the issues beneath it on the map is worth more than the managerial experience and administrative relationships" of the other candidates, Klein writes.
