The insistence by Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., to include a ban on bisphenol A in food packaging is hurting the prospects of a sweeping food-safety bill in the Senate, according to Rep. John Dingell, D-Mich., who wrote the House version that passed in July 2009. "We are just really upset about this," said Donna Rosenbaum, executive director of Safe Tables Our Priority. "We've been working so hard for so many years and we're so close."
