German politician suggests Frankfurt and London join forces

Roland Koch, state premier of Hesse and a close ally of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, said London and Frankfurt, Germany, should team up to keep the EU from implementing rules that would hinder their competitiveness in the world of finance. Koch said the financial sector needs to ensure that regulation does not result in "collateral damage".
