Mississippi lawmaker supports Choctaw casino

State Rep. Bobby Moak, the chairman of the Mississippi House Gaming Committee, said the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians should proceed with plans to develop a $17 million casino. The Choctaws proposed a tribal casino in Jones County, but Gov. Haley Barbour asked the tribe to reconsider. The casino would feature up to 700 slot machines and employ around 250 workers.
