Some QSRs find value in Groupon

Groupon's soaring popularity has made it a must-have marketing tool for some fine-dining and casual restaurants, but offering discounts on already-low prices at quickservice eateries may prove more challenging. Individual franchisees of chains including Smoothie King and Dairy Queen say their use of the daily deal site has driven traffic to their stores, but a lack of national chain promotions can lead to confusion among customers whose coupons are only honored at certain stores, one expert says.
