Demand for architecture services increasing in Mass.

Architects in Western Massachusetts say they are experiencing an increase in demand for their services, but the cost of going green, the lack of school-building projects and competition from big-city firms still pose problems. "One would hope that the local community would support local firms, but that unfortunately isn't always the case," said Curtis Edgin, principal architect for Chicopee-based Caolo & Bieniek Associates.
