Neb. university to launch academy for superintendents

Beginning in September, the University of Nebraska Omaha will offer a 10-month training program for superintendents. The Midlands Superintendent Academy will focus on leadership skills unique to the position, such as long-term strategic planning and working with school boards and the media. So far, 13 of the program's 15 slots have been filled with school leaders from Nebraska and Iowa.
